In the Miami Grand Prix qualifying, Charles Leclerc released a radio message with his Ferrari race engineer Bryan Bozzi that perfectly summed up Ferrari’s terrible start to the 2025 Formula 1 season.
Charles Leclerc can’t go any faster, 6 tenths off the top…
After the lap that confirmed his progression to Q3, the Monegasque said: “These are the best laps I can do, I can’t go faster than this, literally.”
A shocking message for Ferrari, especially considering the gap to McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, which was over six-tenths.
Once qualifying ended with him in eighth position, Charles Leclerc said: “Oh my God, my God. I don’t know what’s happening, that was really a good lap. I don’t understand.”
“You’ve done your best. We’ll investigate” – Bryan Bozzi replied.
The only possible explanation points to a Ferrari number 16 that wasn’t optimally set up after Charles’ incident during the formation lap for the Sprint.
