Charles Leclerc’s misfortune extends beyond Formula 1. Throughout 2023, the Ferrari driver was involved in quite peculiar incidents, a series of misfortunes that began in Bahrain with the incredible engine problem and continued throughout the year with mixed race results.
The latest unfortunate event occurred in Austin, where he was disqualified (after securing a podium finish) for a technical infringement.
In a funny video, which previews the upcoming social content that will be featured on his YouTube vlog, the Monegasque driver expresses gratitude for being an F1 driver, stating that he is really bad at another sport!
The vlog is a kind of virtual diary in the form of videos where Charles Leclerc takes his fans inside his daily life; it may include moments of tranquility with family, friends, or during training before hitting the track.
In a short video clip, the #16 driver appears to be interested in basketball but realizes he’s not quite cut out for it. Leclerc misses shot after shot, attributing his failure to the “wind” around the court. “I’m getting there… Oh God, the wind… keeps pulling to the left!”
As seen in the video, the 26-year-old driver soon starts questioning his abilities, shouting in the end, “But why am I so terrible?”
Passion for sports
Not only basketball: Charles Leclerc is also passionate about padel. We had already talked in another article about how this sport had become viral among Formula 1 drivers. Sometimes, during breaks in Maranello, the Monegasque plays padel with his Maranello teammate, Carlos Sainz.
