The outcome of the 2022 Formula 1 British Grand Prix bequeathed to Scuderia Ferrari a Carlos Sainz celebrating his first pole position and career victory and an understandably disappointed Charles Leclerc, as the Monegasque driver finished fourth in a race he was leading until 13 laps from the end.

If Carlos Sainz was in fact able to speak with Mattia Binotto in Maranello, given that he dedicated the day to sponsors and commitments to the simulator, so it was not possible for Charles Leclerc, who was not expected to be present at the Ferrari headquarters. So the Ferrari team principal, as has happened several times in the past, decided to spend the evening with his driver, meeting together for dinner to discuss the events which took place in the recent Silverstone Grand Prix and explain to the Monegasque driver the thinking behind the strategy which led to Charles finishing outside the podium.

An activity, as mentioned, which is usually done by Mattia Binotto himself, eager to preserve harmony within the team and which aims to make the drivers feel his closeness and understanding, especially in difficult moments. The relaxed faces of the two testify to the common desire to get back on track as early as next weekend, when Formula 1 will be heading to Austria at the Red Bull Ring for a weekend marked by the second Sprint of the 2022 Formula 1 season.
