Inevitably, however, in the management of strategies in the Maranello garage will try to ensure a tactical advantage over the reigning world champion: “If we can make strategic moves between the cars, I’m pretty sure we will – commented Leclerc – but let’s see how it will go tomorrow. But I feel confident with the car, so let’s wait and see. The team result is very good – he concluded, speaking to the official F1 channel this time – and obviously it will be even better if I manage to pass Max at the first corner and we are first and second.”

Carlos Sainz agreed with Charles Leclerc, acknowledging the Maranello duo have to work together to rebuff Max Verstappen and Red Bull stablemate Sergio Perez, who will start from fourth plcace: “I agree. I think we will work as a team, like we’ve done all season. I’m pretty sure that between Charles and me, we can put up a battle with Max and obviously not forgetting about Sergio, who will be also attacking. They were very quick in FP3 so I think if we can work [together], we can achieve a 1-2.” – he concluded.
