In a recent interview, Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc reflects on a new approach of not dwelling on a mistake for too long:
“Before, when I was younger, I used to put myself down a lot. Today I’m still hard on myself, but I realise that it’s not productive to dwell on a mistake for too long. I analyse mistakes and try to understand them before moving on. I think my strength is the mental part and the way I look at things. Everything that happened, the loss of my father, it all changed my perspective. Motorsport is a big part of my life, but there are more important things, like my health and my family. What has happened to me has taken some of the pressure off my back when I walk through the paddock.” – he explained.
vCharles about his mother Pascale: “She is not in the racing world. She is my mother, my family and with her I don’t talk about the races, but about my life. Of course she pulls my ear if she thinks she should, without any filter, that’s normal. But I am well behaved.” – the Monegasque driver explained.
