Charles Leclerc explains Ferrari engine issue on Day 1 of testing. Charles explains Ferrari engine issue.

Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc shares his thoughts on the first day of the pre-season testing season at the Bahrain International Circuit:

“It’s gone pretty well today! Even though the conditions were very difficult, very warm and slippery, windy. At the end we had a good correlation between data at the simulator and data on track, which is always good! The feeling for now is good. It is good to be in the paddock again, good to see all the faces that I used to see last year. And also some new faces, Mick, Stefano Domenicali, Yuki & all the new drivers. The car felt quite good but it’s still too early to make a judgement.”

Charles Leclerc was also asked about the engine issue which forced him to stop on track at the end of the morning session:

“We had a small combustion anomaly on the data and just to be sure, we stopped the car. Luckily it was just 10 minutes before the end of the session. It didn’t cost us so much time on track.” – Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc continued at the end of Day 1 of testing in Bahrain.
