Charles Leclerc explains challenges of “classic Barcelona track” | 2020 Spanish GP. Charles preview the next race.

With almost the first six races of the 2020 FIA Formula One World Championship in the book, we return to familiar ground this weekend as the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya plays host to the Spanish Grand Prix. The track has a good mix of high and low speed corners and is a circuit very familiar to both Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel, who have spent huge amounts of time pounding around it during winter testing.

Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc previews the next round of the 2020 Formula 1 season, the Spanish Grand Prix:

“The Barcelona track is a classic. Every year we do so many kilometres here in testing and therefore we can say it has no secrets. However, this year, as we will be racing here in the height of summer it will be interesting to see how our car performs in really hot weather. As was the case in the two Silverstone races, I thing tyre management will be very important. It’s something we worked on a lot and in England it paid off. It will be important not to make any mistakes in qualifying to try and get the most out of the car in race configuration.” – Charles Leclerc explained, as reported earlier today by the Maranello team’s official website.
