The second day of the post-season F1 testing session in Abu Dhabi took place at the Yas Marina circuit and it was an unusual feeling for George Russell, who topped the morning timesheets as he drove for Mercedes in Abu Dhabi.
Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc has completed a total of 103 laps today, with a personal best of 1:38.185. It was the last time Charles drove the SF90 car and it wasn’t an ideal end to the testing session, as the Monegasque driver lost the car in Turn 14 on the kerb and hit the wall backwards. The Maranello team could still fix the car in time for a few more laps in the final stages of the testing session at the Marina Bay circuit, but Scuderia Ferrari considered that the expense would be too great in comparison to the remaining testing track time.
Nicholas Latifi drove for Williams, days after being confirmed for the team in 2020, with the team also giving Roy Nissany a runout in their car.
