Charles Leclerc is set to become a father for the first time, with the Ferrari driver’s wife Alexandra Saint Mleux revealing that the couple are expecting a baby girl. The happy personal news adds another major milestone to what has already been an eventful 2026 for the Monegasque Formula 1 star.
Alexandra Saint Mleux shared a series of photographs on her Instagram account indicating that she is pregnant, accompanied by emojis and details revealing that the couple are expecting a daughter. Charles Leclerc will therefore become a father little more than a year after fellow Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen welcomed his daughter Lily.

The two Formula 1 stars, who are the same age, will now also share the experience of fatherhood. Charles Leclerc’s daughter will be a little more than a year younger than Lily Verstappen, who was born in May 2025.
The announcement comes during a particularly memorable year away from the race track for Charles Leclerc. He and Alexandra married in Monaco on February 28, 2026, beginning a new chapter in their relationship shortly before the Formula 1 season got under way.
The Ferrari driver has also secured important continuity in his professional life. Earlier in 2026, Charles Leclerc officially agreed a new multi-year contract with Ferrari, confirming his long-term commitment to the Maranello team.
Charles Leclerc still faces major F1 challenge in second half of 2026
While 2026 is already shaping up to be an unforgettable year personally, Charles Leclerc still has significant ambitions to pursue on the track. The Ferrari driver enters the second half of the Formula 1 season needing a major comeback if he is to re-establish himself as a serious contender for the Drivers’ Championship.
At the summer break, Charles Leclerc is 81 points behind championship leader Andrea Kimi Antonelli. Closing such a gap would require an exceptional second half of the campaign from the Monegasque driver.
Whatever happens in the championship battle, however, 2026 has already become a landmark year in Charles Leclerc’s life: a wedding in Monaco, a renewed long-term commitment to Ferrari and now the prospect of welcoming his first child with Alexandra Saint Mleux.
