Formula 1 has unveiled a model of a 2022-spec car ahead of the introduction of the new regulations next season.
Launched at Silverstone ahead of the British Grand Prix, it was the first physical representation of how the cars may look next year.
The new era for the sport had been set to get underway in 2021, but was delayed a year due to COVID-19.
Scuderia Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz both expressed their fondness for the aggression the car looks to have.
Charles Leclerc explains: “It’s definitely going to change quite a bit. We already tried the car in the simulator and we can already tell that is quite a different car to drive. It looks cool, it looks aggressive, hopefully, we will be quick, hopefully, it will improve racing.” – the Monegasque driver added.
Carlos Sainz had nothing but praise, saying “I like how aggressive it is at the front and its simplicity. It looks great.”
