Former Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal and current President of the Federation Internationale de L’Autombile (FIA) Jean Todt believes that winning the Formula One championship is 80% about the car and 20% about the driver. He added that Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc has the whole 20% of talent needed to win in F1 and that it is now up to the Maranello team to provide him the full 80% with a car that is competitive in the next seasons.
“Charles Leclerc has to make sure he has the car and a team to ensure that he can win races.” – the FIA President explained, as reported by La Gazette de Monaco – “I wish for him to become a world champion because he really deserves it. But everything will depend on the car. I believe that winning the championship is eighty percent dependent on the car and twenty percent dependent on the driver. Charles has all those twenty percent.” – Former Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal Jean Todt admitted, according to the French media.

Scuderia Ferrari are reported to have fundamentally changed the design of their car and will hope that they can give drivers Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel the equipment to go out and compete for the championship next season.
