Scuderia Ferrari Spanish driver Carlos Sainz spoke to Sky Sports F1 after fifth place in the Sprint Shootout for the 2023 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Sprint, which is scheduled to take place later today at the Baku City circuit. The Ferrari man admitted that he is “struggling” in all areas this weekend:
“Nothing new today, just kept struggling with the car, kept struggling with my feelings, kept struggling on the breaks. Clearly lacking this weekend, a bit of damage limitation for me, clearly not feeling at home and I’m struggling to put laps together. There’s no time to change the car, there’s no time to really go through the data and put together some changes with this format. So I’m just clearly lacking, and the compromise is obvious for me, if there’s something wrong or if there’s a direction that’s not working you don’t have time to change it. It’s a damage limitation weekend for me.” – Scuderia Ferrari Spanish driver Carlos Sainz explained at the end of the Sprint Shootout in Azerbaijan.
