The early morning race showcased a Ferrari capable of setting the pace in a superb manner. Great credit goes to the performances delivered by Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc aboard their SF-24 cars. An even more special weekend for the Spaniard, returning just a few days after an appendectomy. After the great effort, at the end of the Australian Grand Prix, Carlos Sainz opened up in a team radio that “exploded” with joy.
The 58 laps of the race were a significant challenge for the Spaniard aboard the Ferrari. The physical test he faced was not insignificant, especially with such a fast and consistent race pace. At the end of the race, the fatigue of the Spanish driver was very evident in the high-speed corners. In fact, his neck was constantly leaning against the headrest due to the effort. After crossing the checkered flag, Carlos Sainz opened up, as usual, to give a report on the race, but this time the report is very positive.
“Tell me we made it” – That’s how Carlos Sainz started at the end of the 58 laps. Riccardo Adami, his race engineer, quickly responded: “Yes, we did. P1, baby, P1. Great job, Carlos”.
“Ah ah ah ah ah! This is incredible. Thank you, guys. Thank you. Incredible. Hi, John. Life is a rollercoaster, huh? It is, right? Sometimes life is incredible. Anyway, thank you Ricky, thank you Ferrari. Forza! It was a smooth operation.? Oh, I forgot, Smooth Operator”.
The awakening in Europe tastes different today with a Ferrari that has shown an SF-24 that can also be a contender in the upcoming races.
