Scuderia Ferrari Spanish driver Carlos Sainz reacts to his second place finish in the qualifying session for the 2023 Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix in front of his home fans:
“It was super tight, very tricky conditions out there today and even getting through Q1, Q2 without any issues. Probably one of the most tricky qualifying’s I’ve had here in Barcelona in terms of conditions, but we did it. I think we’re in the best possible position going into the race, and now we can focus on trying to get that pole tomorrow. I didn’t leave anything on the table. I was pushing flat out. It was very tight even with the McLaren, with Alphine, the Mercedes, Aston, we were all in the same group basically this weekend.”
