Carlos Sainz back on the Fiorano track: test day at the wheel of SF71H. Carlos Sainz back on the Fiorano track.

Carlos Sainz makes Ferrari F1 debut at Fiorano

A few days have passed since the Silverstone weekend, which saw a particularly intense commitment for the drivers, involved between Saturday and Sunday in two races in the unusually hot – climatic – English setting. Despite this, however, there is no rest for Carlos Sainz, who is back on track today at Fiorano, challenging a temperature again of around 30 °. As is known, due to the regulation in force for several Formula One seasons, it is forbidden for teams to carry out private tests with cars from this season or the previous one, for purposes of cost containment.

As has already happened several other times this year, however, Scuderia Ferrari still wanted to have its driver lap on the home circuit, putting him behind the wheel of an SF71H. This is the car that Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen had long fought for both world titles in 2018. Carlos Sainz’s activity on the track was communicated by the Maranello team through a video posted on their official social channels. However, no indication has been given of the type of work carried out by the Spanish driver, who is doing well in his first season at Ferrari.
