Entourage and mechanics celebrated the Spaniard
At the end of the 2024 Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix, Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, and Carlos Sainz naturally made their way to the Parc Ferme area to begin the ceremony that ultimately led them to the podium. Due to new Formula 1 regulations aimed at providing more space for VIPs invited to the Grand Prix, it wasn’t easy for Red Bull and Ferrari mechanics to find space to immediately celebrate Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, and Carlos Sainz. TV shots never focused on the area occupied by Carlos Sainz’s entourage and mechanics, leading to speculations that no Ferrari members had gone to the Parc Ferme to celebrate Carlos Sainz’s podium.
The online edition of the Spanish outlet Marca emphasizes that Carlos Sainz was certainly not ‘alone’ in Parc Ferme, as his manager ‘Caco’ (Carlos Onoro) and the mechanics of the Ferrari SF-24 #55 were present. TV shots followed Carlos Sainz up close as he headed toward the scale for weight measurement and indeed never framed the Parc Ferme area where his team had gathered.
Ferrari then assembled in full force beneath the podium to celebrate Carlos Sainz’s third-place finish, just like all the members of Red Bull, who, in turn, had struggled to reach the Parc Ferme area immediately due to the congestion caused by the VIPA experiences reserved for special guests.
