A strange incident unfolded during the first practice session for the Mexican GP.
Yes, the two cars ended up making substantial contact. While it may have been unintentional, the outcome was severe, with Albon’s Williams suffering major damage after a hard impact.
In a fast section of the circuit, Oliver Berman was ahead, seemingly on a slow lap, as he approached the rapid Turn 10 chicane and positioned his Ferrari on the right side of the track.
Albon approached at high speed, rounding the turn and clipping the kerb, but was likely caught off guard by the Ferrari’s location. As he lifted, his Williams wobbled and clipped the Ferrari, before spinning off and slamming into the tyre barriers.
