Formula 1’s triple-header concluded last weekend with the Italian Grand Prix at the Monza circuit and some Ferrari fans wanted to express their disappointment and dissatisfaction for the Maranello team’s performance this season, despite the positive beginning of the championship, by starting a campaign calling for Mattia Binotto’s departure from the team.
Stickers appeared in different places on the racetrack with Mattia Binotto’s image, the name of the campaign “Binottout” and a QR code that, when scanned, takes you directly to the website (binottout.com) where is explained in detail why, according to those who carry out the campaign, the Ferrari boss must leave the team.
They point out where Ferrari has gone wrong in terms of strategy with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz throughout the 2022 Formula 1 season – and consequently missed out on victories that were all but guaranteed.
It should also be noted that on the website, the creators made a prediction of how many points Charles Leclerc would have at this point in the championship if he had not been put in difficult situations several times due to strategy mistakes made by the Ferrari pit wall.
According to their analysis, if Charles Leclerc had won the race that eventually slipped out of his hands, he would arrive at the Italian GP with 221 points, just 27 behind Max Verstappen. Before the start of the Monza event, the difference was 80 points, as the Red Bull driver had 258 compared to 178 for the Monegasque, who was tied with Sergio Pérez.

Despite being criticized by the fans and pressured by the negative results in races in which the Italian team had clear conditions to win, Mattia Binotto feels that there are no reasons to make changes in the Maranello team, either in the factory or in the team that works directly on track during Formula 1 race weekends.
