2 wins in 2024
Scuderia Ferrari has concluded the first part of the 2024 Formula 1 campaign with 345 points, making it the third force in the championship. Two victories, at the Albert Park circuit in Australia with Carlos Sainz and on the streets of Monaco in Monte Carlo with Charles Leclerc, and two pole positions, both obtained by the Monegasque driver (in Monaco and Belgium). The comparison with the 2023 Formula 1 season shows a positive sign both in terms of points and wins, but it is no secret that the Prancing Horse fans want a team constantly fighting for victory.
Frederic Vasseur is trying to keep the team together, strongly rejecting the many rumors surrounding the Prancing Horse and reaffirming in every interview the trust in his men and the pride for the progress made since he took over as team principal.
Benedetto Vigna’s comments
During the call with analysts on Ferrari’s second quarter results, chief executive officer Benedetto Vigna also reflected on Formula 1: “The Scuderia Ferrari HP approached the 2024 season with the goal of always fighting for top positions. We are now entering the summer break with encouraging signs.” – the Ferrari CEO pointed out.
“We have achieved two victories compared to zero last year and a total of 50% more points per race than last year. The team remains focused and united and is pushing hard to continue improving the car’s performance and further reduce the gap from the leader,” concluded the Ferrari chief executive.
Despite Benedetto Vigna’s reassuring comments, the Ferrari environment remains far from serene. The constant rumors and pressures from the fans create an atmosphere of uncertainty around the Scuderia. Frederic Vasseur, the Prancing Horse’s team principal, is trying to keep morale high within the team and repel the criticism, reaffirming his trust in his staff.
What to expect from the future? The second part of the 2024 Formula One season promises to be full of excitement. Ferrari will be able to count on a competitive car and a motivated team, but will have to face increasingly challenging tasks. The rivals, in fact, will certainly not stand by and will try to take advantage of every small mistake by the Ferrari team. Only time will tell if the Scuderia from Maranello will be able to achieve its set goals and return to fighting for the Formula 1 world title.
