Belgian GP weather forecast: flashback of 2021 at Spa-Francorchamps? | F1 weather report. F1 weather report.

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is an iconic and legendary Formula 1 circuit known for its rich history and challenging layout. With a length of 7.004 kilometers, it remains the longest track on the calendar. The circuit features famous sections like Eau Rouge, Raidillon, Les Combes, and Blanchimont, testing the skills and bravery of drivers. The unpredictable weather adds an extra level of excitement, with rain often making an appearance during practice or race days. Ferrari has enjoyed success here, with 18 wins in Belgium, 14 of which were achieved at Spa. This historic track continues to captivate fans and drivers alike, providing thrilling races and unforgettable moments.

It is almost time for the next round of the 2023 Formula 1 championship, scheduled to take place over 44 laps of the 7.004-kilometre Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Stavelot, Belgium on Sunday, so let’s take a detailed look at what the weather has in store for the teams and drivers in Stavelot.

The weather for the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is well-known for its unpredictability. The region experiences a moderate maritime climate, which means that rain can occur at any time during the race weekend. It is common for the Spa-Francorchamps event to have variable weather conditions, with rain showers, overcast skies, and even sudden changes in temperature. The circuit’s location in the Ardennes forest can also contribute to the possibility of fog and mist. As a result, the Belgian Grand Prix often presents a challenging and exciting environment for drivers, as they must adapt their strategies to the ever-changing weather conditions on the track.

After the Hungarian weekend, F1 quickly returns to the track, and for this reason, we have checked the weather forecast for the Belgian GP, which will take place at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

The Hungaroring weekend unfortunately confirmed what we have seen in recent weeks. On one side, there’s a resurgent McLaren and an increasingly dominant Red Bull, on the other, there’s a Ferrari once again difficult to understand.

The Maranello’s SF-23 car, after showing promising signs in Austria, seems unable to match the level of its rivals, even in qualifying, where Ferrari was strong earlier in the season. At the beginning of the year, Saturdays appeared to be the strength of the SF-23, but in recent weeks, both Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc have struggled significantly on the flying lap.

Weather forecast for the Belgian GP weekend

Friday
Plenty of rain expected on Friday at Spa-Francorchamps. Precipitation is predicted throughout the day with relatively low temperatures, hovering around 20°C.
