The life and extraordinary career of Ferrari F1 icon Michael Schumacher are narrated in a highly anticipated docuseries. As we had previously mentioned, the German network ADR will soon release a five-part documentary aimed at revealing the unseen side of one of the legends of Formula 1.
“Being Michael Schumacher” explores the career of the seven-time world champion, starting from his debut on the Kerpen-Manheim kart track and then his first race at Spa in 1991. It will recount his seven World Championships, the accident at Silverstone, the retirement from Formula 1, and then the comeback with Mercedes, up to his subsequent retirement and finally the serious skiing accident that occurred almost ten years ago in the French Alps.
The docuseries is rich in interviews and testimonies from some of the personalities of Formula 1 who were close to Schumi. Among them are his brother Ralf, the explorer Gerhard Noack, the then head of Mercedes Motorsport Norbert Haug, the former Ferrari team boss Jean Todt, and Schumi’s manager Sabine Kehm.
They all revisit his story and provide unpublished episodes about Schumacher’s character, both on and off the track.
“Being Michael Schumacher” will arrive on the ADR streaming network on December 14; later, it will be visible on TV, also in Germany, from December 28.

“Every time someone talks to me, at the airport or elsewhere, the question always arises: do you know how Michael is? Do you know what’s happening now? I always say the same thing: I don’t ask the family. I respect the fact that they have given me only very scant information, and I think that’s right.”
It is not yet clear whether the docuseries on Michael Schumacher will be available in Italy in the coming months.
