“Personally, I have never doubted the team despite the fact that many did. I know what the strength of the team is, we showed it, we worked in a united way. Carlos Sainz would have fought for P2 even without the reliability problems at Red Bull
“We knew we could fight with two cars and have Max in the middle. We were in the grip and the main objective was not to let Max win. In the end we enjoy this one-two. We were certainly lucky in the final laps, but one also must know how to look for it. Carlos had been very aggressive after the Safety Car, always in the DRS area and would have done everything to pass him regardless of Max’s problems. Charles had a great race. We want to be there fighting meter after meter. Charles was an amazing example in his defense against Verstappen today. ” – the Ferrari boss concluded.
