Holidays cancelled in Antarctica for Charles Leclerc and his partner Alexandra Saint Mleux: the Ferrari driver’s end-of-year message and personal announcement.
Charles Leclerc’s 2025 came to a close with a sincere message shared on his social media channels, in which the Monegasque driver looked back on a complex season from a sporting point of view, but one that was also full of positive moments away from the racetrack. In the same post, the Ferrari driver also revealed that his long-planned holiday had unexpectedly fallen through.
In his end-of-year message, accompanied by a collection of some of the most meaningful photos from the past twelve months, Charles Leclerc shared a personal detail with his fans. The Antarctic holiday that had been planned for some time was cancelled at the very last moment due to a technical problem with the boat that was supposed to take them there.
Cancelled holiday for Charles Leclerc: what happened to the Ferrari driver
In his message, Charles Leclerc did not hide the difficulties he experienced during the recently concluded Formula 1 season. “A great year off the track. A very difficult year on the track,” wrote the Ferrari driver, summarising in just a few words the sharp contrast between his private life and his sporting results.
Despite the disappointments, the Monegasque driver wanted to thank the fans who continued to support him during the most challenging moments. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who follow me and support me through ups and downs,” he added, underlining the strong bond with those who continue to believe in him.
Leclerc’s focus is already firmly on the future and on the new technical era of Formula 1, which will begin in 2026. “You can count on me to give absolutely everything in 2026, so that we can have more victories and more success on track,” he wrote, clearly showing his determination and desire for redemption.
It was a clear and direct message, confirming how the upcoming season represents a crucial turning point both for his career and for the Ferrari project as a whole.
In the final part of the post, Charles Leclerc also revealed a personal anecdote that brought a smile to many fans. “Enjoy your holidays and I’ll see you next year,” he wrote, before adding a more bitter but ironic note. “Don’t expect photos from Antarctica. A technical problem with the boat meant everything was cancelled three days ago.”
An unexpected setback that ruined a long-awaited trip, but one that did not take away the Ferrari driver’s desire to look ahead. Between sporting disappointments and new objectives, Charles Leclerc closes the year with the awareness that 2026 will be a decisive challenge, to be faced with the same commitment he has promised to his supporters.
