After 2022 Australian Grand Prix saw a record four-day crowd for event at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne, there has been a huge demand for tickets to the next Formula 1 race weekend.
As a result of the huge interest and the demand, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation decided to bring some changes to its grandstands with the goal of increasing the capacity from 39,000 seats with an additional 5,000 seats.
Even so, the initial phase of grandstand and general admission tickets for Saturday and Sunday in Melbourne were completely sold out after just a few hours. Now the Australian Grand Prix Corporation has announced that there will be a last, limited release of race day tickets next week, on February 8.
The sale will start at 10am Melbourne time. Click here to register and get informed once the tickets are available.
“We set a new attendance record as we returned to Albert Park in 2022 with more than 419,000 at the event across the four days and we’re delighted to see such high interest in our event once again,” – Australian Grand Prix chief executive Andrew Westacot explained – “We have worked really hard to configure our venue in a manner that maximises the opportunity for more fans to experience Formula 1, Formula 2 and Formula 3. Final venue and design reviews have now provided us with the opportunity to get this limited allocation out to the fans. Grandstand and Park Pass tickets for Sunday of the event sold out in under four hours late last year, and we anticipate that this limited release will get snapped up just as fast. We encourage fans to be online early to secure a ticket.” – Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO Andrew Westacott added.
