ATP world number one Jannik Sinner enjoyed a high-adrenaline day alongside one of Italy’s most promising karting talents, Julian Frasnelli, ahead of his upcoming participation in the Masters 1000 tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Before flying to the United States to continue his reign at the top of the ATP rankings, Jannik Sinner spent an intense and thrilling day at full speed on the Vadena karting circuit, located in the province of Bolzano, Italy. He was in the company of fellow South Tyrolean and rising motorsport star Julian Frasnelli, a young driver who is making a name for himself in international karting while racing for the prestigious Tony Kart team.
The two athletes shared the track on Julian Frasnelli’s home circuit, where they completed several laps together. The karting driver recently finished in eleventh place at the European Championship in Rodby, Denmark, competing in the highly competitive OKJ (OK Junior) category at the end of July.

The experience was also documented on social media. On his official Instagram profile, Julian Frasnelli posted about the event, writing: “Incredible day on my home track with Jannik Sinner. Go-karts, adrenaline and lots of laughs. He asked me for advice on racing lines—it’s not every day you see someone like him learning something new, but he was amazing. A true champion even off the tennis court.”
Jannik Sinner appeared relaxed and fully engaged during the session, clearly enjoying the thrill of motorsport while also taking in advice from a young expert. The day offered a unique moment of leisure before the serious business resumes at the Cincinnati Masters, where the Italian tennis star will aim to defend his number one status on the hard courts of the American tour.
