After falling behind the Red Bull RB18 of Max Verstappen in the third free practice session for the 2022 French Grand Prix, Scuderia Ferrari will need to make some tweaks in order to play catch-up ahead of this afternoon’s qualifying session at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, Var, near Marseille
Sky Sport’s Anthony Davidson urged the Maranello team not to panic and to remain focused on tomorrow’s race:
“You win the trophies and you spray the champagne on Sunday afternoon,” he said – “It’s not all about qualifying. Ferrari learnt that in Austria and I think they’re putting that into practice here as well. Sunday is where they want to make it good.”
Nico Rosberg was back with the Sky Sport team this weekend in France, linking in from his home and he’s been gripped by the opening sessions as Red Bull and Ferrari duel up front.

“Formula 1 is as exciting as ever. The title race is still very much on because Ferrari are not letting up in terms of car pace, they are still fast. I would say that they still have the edge over Red Bull. “We saw that yesterday, on pace they [Ferrari] were very dominant, but just now we saw a bit of a reversal with Max going really fast. We don’t really know where that’s coming from but that’s great because it leaves us guessing for Qualifying. We just do not know who is going to be on pole and that’s what is so fantastic about this title race at the moment.” – Nico Rosberg concluded, as reported by Sky Sport.
