Formula One official tyre supplier Pirelli has confirmed the tyres that each driver will bring to the Hungarian Grand Prix, just one weekend after the race in Germany.
Next weekend’s race in Hungary, which usually features some of the hottest temperatures of the season, sees the Alfa Romeo Racing pair take ten sets of the softest rubber available (C4). Three teams – Renault, Alfa Romeo and Toro Rosso – have gone for as many as 10 sets of the soft. Their respective selections mean that Daniel Ricciardo, Kimi Raikkonen and rookie Alexander Albon will head into the weekend with just the race-designated set of the C3 medium available. Italian driver Antonio Giovinazzi will be able to use just one set of the White Hard C2 tyre, but will have one extra set of the Yellow Medium C3 tyre.

Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton will both have just eight sets of the C4 soft compound, with the former taking on a field-high four sets of the medium. No other team has selected fewer than nine sets of the soft for either of its drivers.
Last year’s race was won by Hamilton, who was on a one-stop strategy. Starting on the ultrasofts the Briton subsequently changed to softs. Third-placed Kimi Raikkonen was the only one of the top ten finishers to make two stops.
