Alberto Antonini, head of Ferrari communication from 2014 to 2019, tragically passed away a few days ago. The condolences expressed by thousands of users on social media were heartfelt, but Ferrari’s public silence in honoring Alberto Antonini did not go unnoticed on social platforms. However, the Maranello team has clearly not forgotten Alberto, reserving a minute of silence for him during the Christmas lunch with the media.
Ferrari pays tribute to Antonini’s passing with a minute of silence
Contrary to speculation in recent days, Ferrari’s silence regarding the passing of Alberto Antonini was actually planned, with the intention of honoring him at the Christmas lunch, during which Frederic Vasseur also revealed the presentation date of the new car.
According to what was reported by Motorsport Italy, Roberto Boccafogli, head of communications for the Racing Department, would have started the special event organized by the Prancing Horse with a minute of silence in memory of Alberto, putting an end to the controversies that emerged in the last 48 hours.
Following the press conference by the manager from France, the team imposed an embargo to allow the media to report what was said simultaneously last night. This further extended the timing, fueling fans’ suspicions on social media.
