Abu Dhabi GP FP2 results: full standings from second practice at Yas Marina. Full FP2 results from the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

McLaren’s Lando Norris capped off an ideal start to the Abu Dhabi weekend by topping the timesheets once again in second practice, confirming the team’s strong early form heading into the 2025 Formula 1 season finale.

After already setting the pace in the opening session, Norris continued to look in complete control at the Yas Marina Circuit, where FP2 traditionally offers the clearest indication of true performance. The British driver delivered a best time of 1m23.083, placing himself comfortably ahead of his closest rival, Max Verstappen, by a margin of 0.363 seconds.

George Russell secured third for Mercedes, though he ended the session nearly four-tenths behind Norris as the gaps between the leading teams began to take shape under the floodlights.

Oscar Piastri returned to action in FP2 after sitting out the first session, but his attempt on the soft compound tyre was compromised by a mistake on his flying lap. As a result, the Australian could do no better than eleventh, leaving him with more work to do as practice continues.
