Manchester United fans have reacted with dismay at the news that Axel Tuanzebe could be spending a third season at Aston Villa. National reports have stated that the defender is poised to re-join the claret and blues in the summer after his stint at Villa Park for this campaign expires.

Tuanzebe first joined Villa in January 2018 when he was recruited by former boss Steve Bruce for the remainder of that season. Villa signed him again in the summer and he impressed in the middle of defence before getting injured in December. Tuanzebe has now recovered from a broken foot and United fans recently called for him to be given a chance to show his worth at Old Trafford ahead of next season.

Which is why they’re not best pleased by reports that the 21-year-old is set to remain in the West Midlands for another season.

Tuanzebe has played well in every game he has played for Man Utd, Dalot has not played well DEFENSIVELY in ANY game he has played for the club. Tuanzebe determined to win his place in Villa’s defence back from January recruits Tyrone Mings and Kortney Hause, who have been superb in recent weeks.

“I respect them both,” he told Villa’s YouTube channel. “They’re great lads and they’ve been performing well so it’s not going to be easy to get back into the team. They’re training well and training hard. They’re good lads. It’s good to see that the team’s confident and buzzing again. It’s a good time to come back because everyone is performing well, feeling confident. Competition is healthy, it keeps everyone sharp. I believe in my ability to come back into the team. I don’t doubt myself. It allows rotation if someone is tired because there’s so many games to come. Having fresh legs in there can be the difference.”
