A win for Ferrari at Hungaroring is ‘a bit too optimistic’ – Charles Leclerc. Charles previews the Hungarian GP.

formulaone.news

The 2021 British Grand Prix showed us a Scuderia Ferrari team that, on a Silverstone track that in theory was unfavorable, managed to score a great podium finish with Charles Leclerc and sixth place with Carlos Sainz. The Monegasque driver, discussing the performance shown by the SF21 in the British Grand Prix, admitted that in the next round of the 2021 Formula 1 season, which will be held at the Hungaroring, he would “be content” with being third force behind Red Bull and Mercedes, despite the fact that the motorsport racetrack in Mogyorod should better suit Ferrari’s Formula 1 car, judging by the performance we saw at previous slow circuits this year.

“It’s always nice to be optimistic, and we all want to be optimistic after the last three races, but on the other hand we also have to be realistic” – Charles Leclerc told F1 TV Post-Race Show – “Sure, it’s fine to aim for the best possible result and there is a positive spirit in the team, but I think victory in Budapest could be a bit too optimistic goal. We would be happy to at least be behind the two strongest teams.” – the Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver concluded.
