2027 Italian GP ticket prices rise by up to 46% as Monza adds F1 Sprint

Italian GP Ferrari fans at Monza

Watching the Italian Grand Prix at Monza will become significantly more expensive from many grandstands in 2027, with some full-weekend F1 ticket prices increasing by as much as 46.2%. A comparison of the official price lists published by the Autodromo Nazionale Monza for 2026 and 2027 reveals a substantial restructuring, with 33 of the 43 directly comparable sectors becoming more expensive.

The biggest increases affect some of the circuit’s most sought-after viewing areas. Seconda Variante and Roggia rise from €792 in 2026 to €1,158 in 2027, an increase of €366 or 46.2%. The arrival of the Sprint format at the Italian Grand Prix is also part of the new picture, with competitive track action expanding across the Monza weekend.

Monza 2027 F1 ticket prices change across most grandstands

The increases are far from uniform. Some grandstands will cost more than 30% extra, others receive considerably smaller adjustments, while ten comparable sectors will actually become cheaper in 2027. The new pricing structure therefore changes the distribution of ticket costs throughout the circuit rather than applying a single percentage increase across every area.

Looking individually at sectors carrying the same name on both price lists, 43 can be directly compared. Of those, 33 increase in price and only ten record a reduction. That means 76.7% of the comparable Monza sectors will become more expensive in 2027.

Eleven grandstands, more than a quarter of those compared, will see increases exceeding 30%. The median change is 14.9%, meaning half of the comparable Monza grandstands have a price increase below that level and half above it.

The figures also highlight how polarised the revised structure has become. Monza’s cheaper entry options remain relatively stable, while the largest increases are concentrated on grandstands offering privileged views of some of the circuit’s most spectacular braking zones, chicanes and corners. Seconda Variante and Roggia prices jump by 46.2%

Seconda Variante and Roggia represent the most significant increases. Both rise from €792 for a full-weekend ticket in 2026 to €1,158 in 2027, adding €366 to the cost and representing a 46.2% increase.

Increases of more than 32% also affect Piscina, Ascari 2, Ascari 3, Ascari 4, Uscita Ascari A, Laterale Parabolica A and B, Vedano and Laterale Destra C. Weekend tickets for each of these areas rise from €594 to €786, an additional €192.

Another group sees prices climb by almost 30%. Laterale Sinistra, Alta Velocità B, Biassono, Prima Variante Esterna A and B, Parabolica, Laterale Destra B and Lesmo 1 Esterna all move from €684 to €888. That represents an increase of €204, or 29.8%.

The Centrale grandstand remains the most expensive sector at Monza. Its full-weekend price reaches €1,614 in 2027, compared with €1,344 in 2026, an increase of €270 or 20.1%.

Alta Velocità C and Laterale Destra A rise from €1,008 to €1,158, while Ascari, Seconda Variante 1 and Seconda Variante 2 increase from €792 to €888.

Some Monza grandstands will actually become cheaper in 2027

Not every change goes in the same direction. All Gradinate Traguardo sectors fall from €444 to €351, saving spectators €93 compared with 2026, a reduction of 20.9%. Lesmo 2 Interno and the Vedano A, B and C grandstands receive the same reduction.

Serraglio and Laterale Parabolica C, D and E move in the opposite direction despite sharing that same €444 starting price in 2026. Their full-weekend tickets increase to €489, adding €45 or 10.1%.

This creates one of the more interesting features of Monza’s revised pricing structure. Areas that belonged to the same price category in 2026 have now been separated into two substantially different levels for 2027.

Cheapest Italian GP tickets see much smaller increases

The increases are far more restrained towards the bottom of the price list. Gradinate Interno Parabolica, Uscita Parabolica and Junior Interna rise from €210 to €219, an increase of €9 or 4.3%.

Circolare Prato remains the cheapest option listed, increasing from €120 to €126. That represents only €6 extra, equivalent to 5%.

Monza’s pricing approach is therefore relatively clear: keep the entry-level options comparatively accessible while concentrating the largest increases on grandstands providing premium views of braking zones, chicanes and corners.

The comparison also reveals that seven sectors listed for 2026 disappear from the 2027 price list: Alta Velocità A, Uscita Prima Variante, Ascari Esterna A, Ascari Esterna B, Rettilineo Parabolica Esterna, Parabolica Interna A and Parabolica Interna B.

How the F1 Sprint affects Monza in 2027

The arrival of the Sprint format inevitably forms part of the context surrounding Monza’s revised ticket prices. The Italian Grand Prix will host a Sprint weekend in 2027, bringing two qualifying sessions and a short race to the programme and making Friday a competitive day as well.

More broadly, Formula 1’s increase from six to ten Sprint Grands Prix has among its objectives generating greater revenue around race weekends. With promoters potentially benefiting from higher receipts, it is reasonable to envisage Liberty Media also revising its financial demands upwards during future contract-renewal negotiations.

What is already clear is that attending a Formula 1 Grand Prix in person has become a significant financial commitment, including — and perhaps especially — at Monza.
