F1 | New video reveals the real sound of Ferrari’s engine
Just days before Ferrari officially hits the track, the team has given fans a small preview by revealing the sound of the new engine. On January 18, a video posted by Cadillac, powered by Ferrari, offered a chance to hear the engine from a different perspective. The new American team, making its F1 debut this season, has already covered a few kilometers at Silverstone but will officially present its car on February 9 during the Super Bowl weekend.
Ferrari, on the other hand, plans to unveil its livery on Friday, January 23, just three days before the official start of the 2026 F1 season.
The sound
Through its social media channels, Cadillac is sharing some of the key moments from its shakedown. Sergio Perez, former Red Bull driver, completed the first laps. By covering these initial kilometers, the American team has already made a small mark in F1 history. For its debut season, Cadillac has chosen to run a Ferrari power unit.
A new video released today not only highlights some crucial stages of the day but also lets fans of both Cadillac and Ferrari appreciate the sound of the new engine. To hear it, viewers will need to wait until the end of the video, when Sergio Perez leaves the garage for his first laps.
To see the cars on track, fans will need to wait for the second and third pre-season testing sessions in Bahrain (February 11-13 and February 18-20). In January, from the 26th to the 30th, drivers will take part in three days of testing at Barcelona, but these sessions will be closed to the public.
