2026 British Grand Prix live race coverage
Good morning and welcome, dear ScuderiaFans.com readers. We’re live to bring you every moment of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, the highlight of the Silverstone weekend. The race gets underway at 16:00 CET and is expected to last around 90 minutes, with the scheduled distance of 52 laps, unless incidents, Safety Cars or red flags extend the race.
Starting from pole position is the standout performer of the weekend so far, Andrea Kimi Antonelli. After winning Saturday’s Sprint Race, the Italian completed a remarkable day by securing a brilliant pole position for the Grand Prix, confirming his status as the driver to beat heading into Sunday’s main event.
However, Ferrari also heads into the race with genuine confidence. Defying the team’s own expectations, the Scuderia has looked significantly more competitive than anticipated throughout the weekend. Lining up directly behind Kimi Antonelli is a rejuvenated Charles Leclerc, with teammate Lewis Hamilton starting from third after having claimed Sprint pole during Friday afternoon’s qualifying session.
George Russell will begin the race from fourth on the grid, while Isack Hadjar and Lando Norris occupy the third row. A disappointed Max Verstappen starts from seventh, ahead of the second McLaren of Oscar Piastri.
Will Silverstone deliver fresh surprises, or will Sunday’s Grand Prix simply confirm the competitive order already established during the Sprint Race? Stay with us for live lap-by-lap updates throughout the race.
