2025 F1 Miami GP: Qualifying LIVE updates and commentary – updated start time. 2025 Miami GP Qualifying LIVE: updated schedule after Sprint chaos.

The cars are revving up for the battle for pole position at the first United States round of 2025: follow the LIVE commentary of the Qualifying session of the Miami F1 GP. Young Italian driver Kimi Antonelli will try to repeat the pole he achieved in Friday’s Sprint Qualifying, while McLaren will attempt to challenge him. Ferrari will try to address, at least partially, the issues exposed during the first day on track. The hope for the Prancing Horse is to secure at least a second-row start.

2025 Miami GP – F1 Qualifying – LIVE
The cars will hit the track for the Miami Grand Prix qualifying session at 22:15: race control has changed the schedule after the chaos of the Sprint. The LIVE commentary will begin at 22:10 and will appear in the space below a few minutes before the green light.

Pirelli on a mission for spectacle: more varied strategies in Miami?
As in Jeddah, Pirelli has decided to go one step softer in the range, offering teams the C3, C4, and C5 compounds. These tyres could nonetheless be severely tested by the temperatures expected during the Miami weekend. In fact, during last year’s edition, the track surface reached over 55°C. After being resurfaced in 2023, the organizers have worked on certain areas of the track by laying down a new layer of bitumen. These changes have helped smooth out the bumps in the stretch after Turn 8. This will allow the cars to run even lower and be faster.

By going one step softer, teams will have to fine-tune their setups to avoid excessive tyre degradation. Compared to 2024, when the C2, C3, and C4 had a narrow performance window, this year things might change, especially with qualifying in mind. Over long runs—bearing in mind there is also a Sprint—teams are more likely to face a race with two pit stops.
