The weather forecast for the Mexican GP weekend
Friday
The twentieth weekend of the 2025 Formula 1 season will follow the traditional format, with teams having two one-hour free practice sessions. The forecast looks favorable for Friday, as no rain is expected throughout the day. Air temperatures are set to hover around 25°C during both sessions, providing generally stable and dry conditions — although the thin air at over 2,200 meters above sea level will already start to affect both car performance and driver stamina.
Saturday
Conditions on Saturday should remain quite similar. Temperatures will rise slightly, reaching around 27°C during the second day of on-track action. Both the final practice session (FP3) and qualifying are expected to take place under clear skies, with no risk of rain. Teams will likely focus their efforts on cooling solutions and aerodynamic balance, as the altitude significantly reduces air density and affects downforce levels.
Sunday
For race day, the forecast indicates stable weather once again. When the lights go out for the start of the twentieth race of the 2025 Formula 1 season, the air temperature should be around 26°C, with dry conditions expected throughout the entire Mexican Grand Prix. The combination of heat and the rarefied air of Mexico City will make the race physically demanding for the drivers and technically complex for the engineers, who must manage cooling systems, tire degradation, and engine efficiency in one of the most unique environments of the season.
