After the cancellation of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Formula 1 is back on track, and for this reason, we have looked at the weather forecast for the next round of the 2023 Formula 1 season, the Monaco Grand Prix weekend on the streets of Monte Carlo.
The Monaco Grand Prix is certainly one of the most anticipated weekends of the entire Formula One calendar. With its history, context, and characteristics, the Monaco circuit is loved by fans and drivers alike.
There is certainly a lot of anticipation to see if Charles Leclerc will be able to break what seems to be a real curse. The Ferrari driver has never managed to win in front of his home fans, facing mechanical problems and questionable strategies. In both 2021 and 2022, car number 16 managed to secure pole position in qualifying but failed to confirm the result in the race.
The jewel in the Formula One crown. Monaco provides a special spectacle like no other. The iconic street circuit is among the most demanding on the drivers, and every corner is steeped in history and legend.
Scuderia Ferrari are heading the 3.337-kilometre Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo looking to fight back after the disappointment of the previous season, when Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz started on the front row, a crucial element at this venue, but the Maranello team was not able to capitalize on this great advantage and had to settle for P2 and P4 due to a series of poor strategy calls.
The Monaco Grand Prix is held in late May every year, and it usually sees warm and sunny weather. The average temperature in Monaco during May is around 20-25°C (68-77°F), which makes for a comfortable racing environment. However, there have been instances in the past where rain has affected the race, making it more challenging for drivers. The circuit’s narrow and tight layout means that even a small amount of rain can lead to difficult conditions and accidents, making the Monaco Grand Prix one of the most unpredictable races on the F1 calendar. Therefore, while the weather is typically warm and sunny, the possibility of rain is always present, and teams and drivers must be prepared to adapt their strategies accordingly.
