The decision was reached after a long meeting between Formula 1 representatives, the mayor of Imola, and the ACI (Automobile Club d’Italia).

For a possible rescheduling, the weekend between August 4th and 6th has been proposed, as reported by Formula 1 journalist Giuliano Duchessa on his Twitter account, immediately following the Belgian Grand Prix at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, which is scheduled for July 30th, thereby reducing the summer break by a few days.
