Scuderia Ferrari face a pivotal Monaco Grand Prix weekend to bounce back from recent setbacks, but on paper the next race will not be the easiest for the Maranello team, given the characteristics of its SF90 car. Ferrari have confirmed that slow corners are still proving to be problematic for the Italian side’s car after trying an upgraded package in Spain, which means that the narrow streets of Monte Carlo, with the many elevation shifts, tight and slow corners, will once again make it difficult for Ferrari to challenge Mercedes.
Even more, the Maranello team will also have to fight the Red Bull cars, who look to be extremely competitive on a circuit where engine power cannot make the difference. With overtaking tricky here, qualifying is of course of huge important in Monaco.
Follow us later in the afternoon for the latest updates and results from the Monaco Street Circuit, as the qualifying session for the 2019 Monaco Grand Prix is about to get underway, with Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc at the wheel of the SF90, ready to challenge Mercedes and Red Bull for pole position ahead of the race on Sunday.
