Scuderia Ferrari German driver Sebastian Vettel has pleased the home fans at Monza by finishing fastest in final practice, just ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.

The final practice session had a delayed start as track officials worked on removing a sausage kerb at the Parabolica that caused a huge crash in Formula 3 earlier on Saturday morning. With the first ten minutes lost, it meant the remaining fifty minutes were very busy as teams tried to make the most of the dry running after Friday’s damp and changeable conditions.

Scuderia Ferrari had it their own way for most of the session, with Charles Leclerc leading the way with 1:20.403 on the Soft tyre.

With ten minutes remaining, Sebastian Vettel improved on his best time as Leclerc ran a little wide at Parabolica, with Vettel reducing the best time down to 1:20.294.

Max Verstappen, moments later, split the Ferraris with a 1:20.326 to go just 0.032 behind Sebastian Vettel and a tenth clear of Charles Leclerc.
