The impressive Red Bull Ring set in the spectacular Austrian countryside is a thrilling 9 corner circuit, consisting of 7 right-hand and 2 left-hand turns. The track also features a downhill slope of 9.3% and an uphill slope of 12% and 2 DRS Zones (with a third one added for this year). Additionally, the track can be split into two separate tracks; North and South. The Southern part of the track is used mostly for major events.
2018 Austrian Grand Prix weather forecast (Weather Info Red Bull Ring, Spielberg):
From the Formula 1 teams’ point of view, different weather conditions can result in very different races, and Formula 1 teams adapt their strategy accordingly, for example using different tyres in wet conditions, and taking account of cross winds which can cause stability problems at high speeds. It is always well worth checking the weather before any grand prix as it can often throw a curve ball into the mix, although in Austria this time things look pretty straightforward. Conditions appear near-on perfect this year ahead of the 2018 Formula 1 French Grand Prix weekend. Sun will be shining bright for the race on Sunday, June 24 with a temperature of around 26-degree Celsius. There is a slight chance of rain on Friday, when the free practice sessions are scheduled to take place at the Red Bull Ring, but most likely the sessions will take place in dry conditions.
