One you might have missed during the first-lap carnage at the 2018 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: Charles Leclerc muscles past Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo for fifth place, just before the Safety Car comes out. In 2019, Charles will be hoping for more of the same in Ferrari colours!
Charles Leclerc went for the extreme low-downforce option in FP3 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, after shedding his rear wing in a crash at Turn 19 at the Yas Marina Circuit. Having got out of shape at the previous corner, Leclerc kept his foot in it, which didn’t pay off.
