The United States Grand Prix has a long and varied history. The race has been staged at 10 different venues since it was first included on the World Championship calendar in 1959, but the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is the first purpose-built track for Formula 1. It is the only race in the USA and it’s staged at a fast and flowing racetrack around which Formula One cars can stretch their legs. The organisers lay on a good show for the fans, with concerts by Justin Timberlake and Stevie Wonder taking place on Saturday and Sunday evenings.

The next Formula One event which will be held at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, United States as the seventeenth round of the 2017 FIA Formula One World Championship has a good chance of taking place in dry conditions for the entire race weekend. Rain is not expected to arrive near the track on Friday and Saturday for the free practice sessions and qualifying. There is a 50% chance of rain on Sunday morning, but not during the rest of the day, which means that the circuit should be dry at the start of the 2017 United States Grand Prix. Despite the fact that temperatures could reach up to 30° on Saturdat, a maximum temperature of 26° is expected on Sunday, whichu nfortunately could favour Mercedes over Scuderia Ferrari.
