A promising start to the race weekend for Scuderia Ferrari, as the Maranello team compleed the first practice session ahead of the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix without any problems and finished very close to first place Lewis Hamilton. Sebastian Vettel was only +00″196 behind on his personal best lap, although as usual the lap times are not really relevant during the first practice sessions and only on Saturday morning can we have a clearer picture of what to expect for qualifying and the race on Sunday.
For the moment Scuderia Ferrari will continue to gather as much information as possible and identify the best setup for the weekend, without pushing the car to the limit.
Join us in the afternoon for the latest updates and results from the Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo as the second practice session for the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix will take place in Monte Carlo, with Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen at the wheel of the SF70H.
