The most important moment of the Belgian event is about to get underway at the Spa-Francorchamps ciruit. Rain could spice things up and make things even more interesting during the race, which could represent a good opportunity for Scuderia Ferrari ahead of a Grand Prix that seems to be more suited for Mercedes given the track characteristics and the fact that Spa is known to be an engine circuit.
A four times winner at Spa and with a contract extension for 2018 announced earlier in the week, Finnish driver Kimi Raikkonen starts the race P4, while his German teammate Sebastian Vettel in second place, after a qualifying session in which Kimi struggled with vibrations and in his last run was not able to complete the lap, but did decide to give Sebastian Vettel a crucial tow on the final part of his teammate’s Q3 attempt after making a mistake which compromised his own lap.
Join us in the afternoon for the latest updates and results from the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps as the 2017 Belgian Grand Prix will take place in Stavelot, with Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen ready to fight with rivals Mercedes and Red Bull Racing for a new win.
