Set into an Austrian hillside, the Osterreichring has gone down in F1 folklore as one of the sport’s most exciting circuits. Dramatic elevation changes and super-fast sweeping curves made it a real drivers’ circuit and the small run-off areas and ludicrously-narrow pit straight made it exceptionally dangerous.
The scenery is therefore set for another spectacular race on Sunday. Scuderia Ferrari will try to regain its place on the podium after two consecutive Grands Prix with only fourth position as the best result and in order to do so the Maranello team needs a positive outcome in decisive round which will determine the starting order for the race.
