Let’s take a look at the weather forecast for the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix (latest weather forecast for Monte Carlo):
One of the most important factors ahead of any Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend is of course represented by the weather conditions, which can have a great impact on the outcome. From the Formula 1 teams’ point of view, different weather conditions can result in very different races, and Formula 1 teams are always focused on this aspect conditions in order to evaluate and choose their strategy options accordingly, for example using different tyres in wet conditions, and taking account of cross winds which can cause stability problems at high speeds.
As a result, we should always keep on eye out on the weather before any Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend given the fact that it can often throw a curve ball into the mix. And this time Monte Carlo could prove to be an interesting race from this point of view. Overtaking is notoriously difficult in Monaco and rain would most definitely lead to a much more spectacular race.
As it stands, some showers are expected around the track during the entire weekend and while not a lot of rain is predicted for the moment, weather could change a lot during the day with rain on and off. For Sunday most of the rain should hit the track in the morning, but it remains to be seen if the Monaco Grand Prix, which takes place in the afternoon, will also be affected by showers.
