Interlagos, opened in 1940, took inspiration from the famous Brooklands circuit. The success of Brazilians in Formula One led to the first World Championship Grand Prix in 1973 and fittingly began with a home victory. Like most circuits of its era, it features banked corners, which complements corners such as the Senna S perfectly.
2021 Brazilian Grand Prix weather forecast (Weather Info Sao Paulo):
From the Formula 1 teams’ point of view, different weather conditions can result in very different races, and Formula 1 teams adapt their strategy accordingly, for example using different tyres in wet conditions, and taking account of cross winds which can cause stability problems at high speeds. It is always well worth checking the weather before any grand prix as it can often throw a curve ball into the mix, yet this time Sao Paulo seems to be a straightforward weekend. Conditions appear good ahead of the 2021 Brazilian Grand Prix weekend, despite the fact that rain could affect the free practic session or the qualifying session on Friday. Saturday’s Sprint race event and the main race on Sunday should take place in dry conditions if we look at the current predictions. However, one interesting factor will be difference in temperatures throughout the weekend: about 26 degrees are expected for the race day, while for Friday no more than 18 degrees which should make things interesting regarding tyre management at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace:
