Weather forecast and timetable | 2020 Australian GP. 2020 Australian GP weather forecast.

Just a few days left until the 2020 Formula One championship will begin. The first stop of the season is traditionally Albert Park in the middle of of Melbourne’s most lush inner suburbs bordering both the Port Phillip Bay and it’s own sparkling Albert Park.

This year will mark the 25th Formula 1 race to have been held at Albert Park and there’s a definite buzz around Melbourne’s streets on Grand Prix weekend, so make the most of your visit to one of Australia’s leading cities!

2020 Australian Grand Prix weather forecast (Weather Info Melbourne):

From the Formula 1 teams’ point of view, different weather conditions can result in very different races, and Formula 1 teams adapt their strategy accordingly, for example using different tyres in wet conditions, and taking account of cross winds which can cause stability problems at high speeds. It is always well worth checking the weather before any grand prix as it can often throw a curve ball into the mix, especially taking into consideration the fact that Melbourne is usually an unpredictable weekend. For now conditions appear excellent for Saturday and Sunday, ahead of the 2020 Formula 1 Australian  Grand Prix weekend. The temperature for race day is expected to be around 21-22 degrees, while according to the latest forecast, there is no chance of rain for, Saturday and Sunday afternoon. The race day will therefore receive abundant sunshine.

However, rain is expected for Friday, which means that the free practice sessions at the Albert Park circuit could take place in wet conditions, making it difficult for F1 teams to evaluate and identify the ideal setup for qualifying and the race.
