Scuderia Ferrari drivers Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen took part last night in the charity football match “La Partita del Cuore” at the Juventus Stadium, in Turin, Italy.
The Partita del Cuore is an annual charity game which raises funds to help those in need. This year it was held at the Juventus Stadium, the home ground of Serie A champions Juventus. Played out in front of a capacity crowd in Turin, the exhibition fixture, which saw a team of famous sporting figures pit their wits against a side comprised of Italian singers and entertainers, enabled significant funds to be raised for Fondazione Telethon, a biomedical charity established to research genetic diseases, and Piedmont’s Candiolo Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment.
Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen played for most of the game, alongside former famous football players such as Zvonimir Boban, Pavel Nedved, Edgar Davids or Alessandro Del Piero and many others. The Scuderia’s third driver Antonio Giovinazzi has also swapped his race suit for football kit and studded boots. Ferrari’s Finnish driver Kimi Raikkonen proved to be one of the best players on the field, with three goals to his name.
